A stylish event near Oxford at Bicester Village, blending luxury retail with purpose through female empowerment, ethical design and global charitable impact.

Just a short drive from Oxford, Bicester Village has long been known as one of the region’s most refined retail destinations. But on a recent spring morning, it revealed another side entirely – one rooted in purpose, partnership and meaningful global impact.

A meaningful morning near Oxford at Bicester Village
Arriving early, before the usual flow of visitors, there was a calmness to the village that felt almost unexpected. Soft sunlight washed over its elegant boulevards, designer storefronts and landscaped walkways, creating a setting that felt more like a luxury retreat than a shopping destination. And on this occasion, the focus shifted firmly away from fashion alone.

Part of The Bicester Collection, the village has increasingly evolved into a space where hospitality, community and conscious initiatives sit comfortably alongside premium retail. It’s a balance that feels particularly relevant for visitors from Oxfordshire, where lifestyle and quality of experience often go hand in hand.

A warm welcome at The Apartment
The morning’s event was hosted within The Apartment – Bicester Village’s private and impeccably designed space reserved for special guests and curated experiences. Intimate yet refined, it set the tone perfectly.

Guests were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco, or a non-alcoholic alternative for those driving, alongside a selection of delicate canapés. Tea and coffee followed as conversations began to flow, creating an atmosphere that was relaxed, sociable and quietly sophisticated.

Thoughtfully prepared goodie bags awaited at each seat before attention turned to the main focus of the morning.

Purpose, partnership and powerful voices
At the heart of the event was the DO GOOD philanthropic programme – an initiative by The Bicester Collection designed to create lasting social impact.

The discussion brought together an impressive panel, including Monica Vinader, alongside representatives from Women for Women International and senior leadership from The Bicester Collection.

Together, they spoke about supporting women affected by conflict, helping them rebuild their lives through education, skills training and community support.

The partnership with Monica Vinader adds a tangible dimension to that impact. Visitors can contribute by purchasing selected pieces, with a portion of proceeds donated to the charity.

A Q&A session followed, offering guests the opportunity to explore the initiative in more depth.

A relaxed Italian lunch
Following the talks, the experience continued with lunch at La Tua Pasta, located just moments from The Apartment.

Over beautifully prepared Italian dishes, conversation turned reflective. The earlier discussions clearly resonated, making this more than just an event – but a gathering built on connection and purpose.
