This October, Mollie’s (www.mollies.com) is turning up the fright factor with two spine-tingling Drive-In Movie Nights in Oxfordshire and Bristol, alongside diner specials and discounted stays. Guests can park up, tuck into diner favourites (or limited-edition Halloween treats), and enjoy big-screen thrills under the stars – from family-friendly animations to full-throttle horror classics.
Mollies Movies
Mollie’s open-air cinemas will be screening two Halloween-themed movies at each venue, ranging from spooky animated comedy suitable for families with children, to full-scream horror aimed at adult audiences. Kicking off on Sunday 26th October in Bristol, younger visitors can enjoy The Addams Family (PG) at 6pm, while adults can watch The Lost Boys (15) at 9:15pm. In Oxfordshire on Thursday 30th October, children can enjoy Coco (PG) at 6pm, followed by the re-imagined Friday the 13th (18) at 9:15pm.
Tickets start at £20 per car for two people, with additional passengers at £7.50 each or £3.50 for children under 12.
Food can be added to tickets for £20 per person (or £7.75 for children under 12), which includes a Mollie’s movie meal (choice of chicken tenders, burger or hotdog, with house fries and a soft drink), plus a Darkwoods hot chocolate with marshmallows and a tub of popcorn. Additional drinks, desserts, and snacks are also available to purchase.
Mollies Diner
To complement the films, Mollie’s is offering new Halloween-themed diner specials. Available from the 24th October to 3rd November, diners can enjoy the Devils Drizzle Fried Chicken Bun (£11), featuring buffalo hot sauce tossed buttermilk chicken, roast pepper mayo, shredded chicken, pickled chillis and crispy onion.
For those with a sweet tooth, the star of the menu is the Black Magic Shake (£6) – an exclusive Halloween creation blending vanilla ice cream with strawberry sauce, popping candy and edible eyeballs.
