Set up in 2018 by Chrissie Rucker OBE, founder of The White Company, WSW aims to raise £10 million by 2023 to ensure that young women can be supported by the Trust to overcome barriers into jobs, education and training, or to start their own businesses. As a WSW Ambassador, Nicola will support the Trust’s target by raising £15,000 over three years so that ten young women can gain the confidence, skills and support they need to succeed.

Over forty senior female leaders, business owners and entrepreneurs from a range of industries came together for the ‘Lilies and Lunch’ event, co-hosted by Hedges Law and Ridge and Partners LLP, at the exclusive Soho Farmhouse in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.  All guests were treated to a flower arranging masterclass held by TV presenter and florist to the stars and Royals, Simon Lycett, followed by a fundraising raffle to win a range of luxurious prizes donated by local businesses in Oxfordshire, including a VIP shopping experience at Bicester Village, a hamper from Anne Haimes Interior Design & Boutique in Henley and a salon experience at the Matthew Clulee Hair Spa.

Overall, Hedges Law and Ridge and Partners LLP raised more than £1,000 for the Women Supporting Women (WSW) initiative at The Prince’s Trust.

Nicola Poole said: “It was great to co-host the Lilies and Lunch event with Ridge and Partners LLP at such a magnificent setting as Soho Farmhouse. It was a fantastic day and I was blown away by the support we got from local businesses that helped to make this event such a success.  I’d like to thank the wonderful women that attended for their generosity, all the local businesses that donated such amazing gifts, and Simon Lycett for helping to make this such a special event.”

“I feel honoured to be a Women Supporting Women ambassador, helping young women achieve their ambitions, overcome their obstacles and reach their potential, as it’s something I feel very passionate about. It‘s brilliant that we raised more than £1,000 in our first fundraising event and we can’t wait to host more to achieve our target of £15,000 and change women’s lives!”
