A new head chef has been appointed at the Banbury House Hotel in Banbury.
Owners of the popular town centre hotel have announced the appointment of Stuart Banks (28) as head chef.
Stuart heads a brigade of eight and will be introducing an extensive new menu for both the recently refurbished Banbury Kitchen restaurant and House Bar. He was previously senior sous chef at The Chequers pub and restaurant in Churchill, Oxfordshire.
“I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to lead such an experienced team,” said Stuart. “While the new menus will include some old favourites, I’ll be introducing plenty of new seasonal options too. Locally-sourced produce will be at the heart of the food on offer.”
The more formal Banbury Kitchen restaurant is open from 7 pm – 9 pm Monday to Saturday and now with a new Sunday lunch service from 12 pm – 3 pm.
The House Bar is also a recent addition to the hotel and opens for morning coffee, afternoon tea, lunchtime light bites, salads and sandwiches. In the evening, the emphasis is on a more informal dining experience with a wide choice of contemporary dishes.
“Guest will soon be enjoying some outstanding dishes from a talented and creative chef,” said general manager, David Field. “Stuart has been busy developing some exciting menu options and we look forward to serving them.”
